What made you want to work at an animal hospital? Growing up our family dog Rip was my best friend. When he had to have his front leg amputated, I wanted to nurse him back to recovery. My mom said to me “you should be a nurse for animals”, and I followed through with her advice and never looked back.
What is your hope with every patient you see? My hope is to try and make them feel as comfortable as can be,and to give them the reassurance that we are only trying to help them and not hurt them.
Do you have a mantra or philosophy that you try to live by? I try my best to live by the golden rule. My nickname is Mama Gina because I like to mother not only your furry and not so furry loved ones, but my family, friends, and co-workers as well!
“I love to be a part of the Otterkill Family because…” Family is the key word! I enjoy coming to work with others that have the same goal to practice compassionate care to all who walk through our doors.
