Pet Vaccinations in Campbell Hall, NY

Protect Your Pet

Vaccinating your pet is one of the most important things you can do to protect them from diseases including ones that can be transmitted to you. At Otterkill Animal Hospital, we tailor our vaccine recommendations to your pet’s individual needs. Young animals – kittens and puppies especially – are most likely to need vaccines, but we encourage you to discuss vaccines recommended for your older pets, too.

Vaccinations are the cornerstone of preventative care. Make sure your pet is up to date on their vaccinations by scheduling an appointment with Otterkill Animal Hospital. We accept patients from Montgomery, Goshen, Middletown, and beyond.

Vaccines for Dogs

Our veterinarians are happy to assemble a vaccination schedule for your new puppy or an older dog you have adopted.

Some of the many vaccines your dog may need or must receive include:

The specific vaccines we recommend for your pet will depend on their health and lifestyle. For example, dogs are outdoors more than cats, which puts them at greater risk of tick exposure; as such, they should likely be vaccinated against Lyme disease. If your dog goes to the dog park, the grooming salon, obedience classes, or a boarding kennel, we may recommend vaccines to prevent kennel cough and canine influenza.

Vaccines for Cats

In New York, all cats are required by law to receive the Rabies vaccine at a minimum every 3 years. At Otterkill Animal Hospital, we also vaccinate all cats against distemper and upper respiratory viruses. Depending on your cat’s age, health, and lifestyle, we may also recommend the feline leukemia virus vaccine.
